Yukon Student Financial Assistance

The Student Financial Assistance (SFA) Unit of the Yukon helps eligible Yukon residents with the cost of their post-secondary education. Whether planning to attend a college, university, university-college, public institute or private training school, students have access to loans, grants, bursaries, scholarships and training allowances.

SFA's programs are mostly need-based, providing assistance when students and their immediate families do not have the resources to meet the costs of full-time education and basic living expenses. However, assistance based on academic merit or designed for special student groups is also available.

Yukon SFA administers programs on behalf of the Yukon Government and the Government of Canada, including Canada Student Loans, Canada Study Grants, Canada Access Grants and Millennium Scholarship Foundation programs.
